who is responsible
the veil, made between cape town and stellenbosch, south africa, is the responsible party for this site under the protection of personal information act, 2013 (popia). anything on this page can be queried by writing to info@theveil.co.za.
what we collect
the email address you type into the waitlist form, and which of the two forms on the page you used (the one at the top or the one at the bottom), so we know which is doing its job. that is all we ask for.
why we collect it
to send you one invitation email when your cohort opens, and to read and answer anything you write back to us. your address does not go onto a marketing list. there is no newsletter. we do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone.
how long we keep it
until waitlist invitations are done, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first.
your rights
under popia you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. write to info@theveil.co.za and we will do it. if you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the information regulator (south africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
monitoring
the site runs a basic error and performance monitor so we can fix what breaks. it is configured to mask anything you type, and we do not use it to build profiles of visitors.
